This new sculptural circular painting takes inspiration from the textures of the birch bark, its subtle rhythms, scarring, and renewal. In some traditions, birch trees were symbols of new beginnings and purification, bringing renewal and fresh starts.
I incorporated a pieces of carefully selected birch bark for this artwork.
